Twitter/X Spaces and Elon’s Opportunity for Real Free Speech

I’ve been marinating on this whole free speech thing, especially with Elon Musk flagging himself as a free speech absolutist.

That’s cool and all, but it got me thinking, if he’s so into free speech, why not craft a platform for those who’ve been booted elsewhere?

I chewed over this idea on Twitter/X Spaces recently: if Elon’s all in for free speech, making a space for the silenced is the way to go.

Now, speaking of free speech, Rumble’s been doing its bit.

Unlike YouTube, which recently cut off the money tap for the Fresh and Fit podcasts, Rumble’s been a bit of a haven for the unfiltered chatter.

It’s like, while YouTube’s playing hall monitor, Rumble’s keeping the free speech lights on.

The convo on Twitter/X Spaces was a mixed bag.

Some people liked the idea, others didn’t.

But that’s the sweet part, we were all talking, debating, and getting into the thick of what free speech really means.

I keep daydreaming about a platform where everyone gets to have their say, no strings attached.

No shadow bans, no mysterious algorithms, just straight up open dialogue.
