Founders are Obsessed with Control

Ever wonder why founders seem obsessed with control?

It’s a well-known fact that founders are generally seen as controlling and determined.

I have seen enough to confidently say that founders are addicted to being in control, and here’s why.

At a certain level of success and pressure, all doubts get erased.

When you’re building something from scratch, every decision, every move, falls on you.

There’s a lot at stake, and there’s a lot of pressure to succeed.

The pressure brings a strange clarity, and doubts fall away as the path forward becomes clearer.

The emotional support isn’t there.

It’s common for founders to feel isolated, with few people really understanding what they’re going through.

Having no emotional support is tough, but it also helps you become more independent.

I believe that it is this very solitude that sharpens their resolve and makes them even more determined to control their environment.

It’s just you and the satisfaction of reaching your goals.
